Scope

Kitchen design, two-tone flat-panel cabinetry, stone worktops, herringbone floor, appliance integration

Pale ash-grey uppers and deep graphite lowers — a tonal palette that rewards the eye rather than demanding it. The room shifts in character through the day: cool and graphic in morning light, deeply warm under the evening pendants. Both greys were drawn from the same pigment family to ensure they read as a relationship rather than a collision.

The stone worktop was selected to bridge the two tones — a mid-grey quartzite with movement that picks up both the pale upper and the dark lower. The herringbone oak floor provides the sole warm note in an otherwise cool scheme. All appliances are integrated; the extractor is concealed within a ceiling volume that appears to be a structural beam.

"The two greys sound subtle on paper. In person the room has more presence than any kitchen I've seen."
