Bathroom Vanities · Queens, New York
Bathroom vanities built like furniture.
Floating double vanities, in-frame cabinetry, and marble tops — hand-built in our Queens joinery with the same materials and the same hand as our kitchens, for bathrooms throughout the borough.
Queens, New York
Vanities made with the same hand, the same materials, the same standard.
A bathroom vanity is the most-used cabinet in the home, and the one most often built to disappoint. HS Kitchens Studio builds vanities the way we build kitchens — from solid timber and veneered panels, with dovetailed drawers, hand-applied finishes, and stone selected slab by slab. The result is a vanity that reads as furniture rather than a fitting, and that earns its place in the room for decades.
Because our joinery is in Queens, we measure your bathroom on site, build to the millimetre, and return to scribe and fit against walls and plumbing that are rarely as cooperative as they look. Floating vanities are carried on concealed steel brackets rated for real daily use; in-frame vanities are built with solid oak internals so they can be repaired rather than replaced.
Whether your Queens bathroom is a compact en suite in a Long Island City tower or a family bath in a Forest Hills colonial, we design the vanity around the room — the storage, the lighting, the plumbing, and the way the household actually uses it.
The Vanity
Floating, in-frame, or furniture-style — built to the room.
A floating vanity makes a small bathroom generous. We build wall-hung vanities on concealed steel carriers rated to 120kg, with solid oak internals and push-to-open hardware, so the storage disappears and the marble runs uninterrupted beneath. Backlit mirrors wash the stone in warm light without casting a shadow on the face.
An in-frame vanity brings English country proportions to a family bathroom. Solid oak frames, hand-painted shaker doors in a colour mixed to sit with the room, and a honed limestone or marble counter chosen for the softness of its tone against the painted cabinetry. Built for daily life, and built to be repaired rather than replaced.
A furniture-style vanity treats the cabinet as a piece in its own right — fluted walnut, book-matched marble, brushed brass, a finish deep enough to look into. For a master suite or a powder room that wants to make an impression, the vanity becomes the room’s reason for being.

Queens Bathrooms
Vanities designed for the bathrooms of Queens.
Queens bathrooms vary as much as Queens homes. A pre-war apartment in Forest Hills may have a generous bathroom with original tile worth preserving; a new construction in Long Island City gives us clean lines but a compact footprint; a colonial in Bayside or Douglaston gives us room for a double vanity and the storage a family actually needs.
We design for the room and the household. A family of five needs deep, divided storage and a counter that survives the morning rush; a master suite asks for a vanity that feels like a boutique; a powder room wants a single, beautiful gesture. In every case the vanity is built to the millimetre, finished by hand, and installed by our own team.
And because we build the cabinetry ourselves, the vanity can match the rest of the home — the same oak, the same brass, the same painted colour as the kitchen or dressing room — so the rooms speak one language.
Materials & Care
Materials chosen to last, finishes chosen to age.
A bathroom vanity lives in the most demanding room in the house — heat, steam, soap, and daily water. We specify accordingly. Counters are honed marble, limestone, or quartzite chosen slab by slab and sealed before installation; tapware is solid brass or bronze rather than plated; and the cabinetry internals are solid oak or ash, dovetailed and squared, so a drawer that sticks in ten years can be repaired rather than replaced.
Painted vanities are finished in a moisture-resistant multi-coat lacquer, and floating vanities are carried on concealed steel brackets rated for real daily use — not the lightweight rails a flat-pack vanity relies on. Every vanity is scribed to the walls and floor on installation, so there are no gaps for water to find and no movement to work loose over time.
Caring for a HS Kitchens Studio vanity is straightforward. Wipe stone counters with a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner, re-seal the stone annually, and avoid abrasive pads on painted or oiled faces. Brass tapware ages naturally — leave it unlacquered for a living patina, or specify a lacquered finish if you prefer it bright. With basic care, a vanity built by our studio will outlast a catalogue fitting many times over.

Do you build custom bathroom vanities in Queens?
Yes. HS Kitchens Studio designs and hand-builds custom bathroom vanities for homeowners across Queens, in our own Queens joinery, and installs them with our own team.
Can you build a floating vanity?
Yes. We build wall-hung floating vanities on concealed steel carriers rated to 120kg, with solid oak internals and push-to-open hardware, so the storage disappears and the stone runs uninterrupted beneath.
Do you supply the stone and the taps?
We specify and supply marble, limestone, and quartzite tops selected slab by slab, and brass or bronze tapware. You are welcome at the yard to choose the slab that travels your counter.
How much does a custom vanity cost in Queens?
Custom vanities are priced per commission based on size, materials, and complexity. Single vanities typically start around $6,000; double and floating vanities are quoted individually after consultation.
Can the vanity match my kitchen or dressing room?
Yes. Because we build all the cabinetry in one joinery, we can match the oak, brass, or painted colour of an existing kitchen or dressing room so the rooms speak one language.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. The initial in-home consultation is complimentary, with no obligation. Email info@hskitchenss.com or use the form on this page to arrange a visit.
