About Page Copy
Some kitchens are installed. Ours are commissioned.
HS Kitchens Studio is a Queens, New York design studio. Our founder brings more than 25 years of experience in cabinetry, kitchen design, and installation — a practice shaped by patience: understand the architecture, understand the family, and only then begin to draw.
Design and making have never been separated here. Our designers walk the joinery floor daily; our makers read the drawings first-hand. Timber is chosen by leaf, stone slab by slab, brass unlacquered so it may age with the room.
We accept twelve commissions a year. It is the only way to promise that the director who drew your kitchen is the one who signs it off — and the one who answers when you call in a decade’s time.
Services overview messaging
Headline: One studio. Five disciplines. No handovers.
Support: From first survey to twenty-fifth year, your commission never leaves our care.
A kitchen drawn from nothing but your architecture and your habits.
Hand-made in our own joinery — in-frame, panelled or handleless.
Pantries, wine rooms and furniture that speak the same language.
Appliances and stone specified with you, never for you.
Fitted by our people. Cared for indefinitely.
Brand voice guidelines
Assured, never loud
We state facts and let the work carry the persuasion. No exclamation marks, no superlatives we cannot prove.
Specific, never vague
Name the timber, the tolerance, the town. Specificity is the language of expertise; adjectives are the language of advertising.
Warm, never familiar
Address clients as we would guests in the studio: courteous, unhurried, entirely present. Never slang, never emoji.
Considered, never rushed
Short sentences. Room to breathe. If a line can be cut, cut it — restraint in copy mirrors restraint in design.
We say
We never say
Typography: Cormorant Garamond for display, Jost for body. Palette: warm limestone, ink, aged brass. Never centre long paragraphs; never set headlines in all-caps above three words.
Customer testimonial framework
Four beats, in order. Collected in conversation rather than by form, and always approved before publication.
Open with the doubt the client held before the studio: scale, budget confidence, a difficult building, a previous disappointment.
Name the specific act that changed it — a survey, a material board, a decision the studio made in the client’s favour.
One concrete piece of craft: the shadow gap, the drawer’s weight, the way the light meets the stone.
How the room is used today. Always close on living, never on buying.
First name, surname or initial with permission, plus the commission descriptor: house type, location, material story.
“We had been let down once already, so we tested them with the hardest wall in the house. They surveyed it twice, redrew the run, and never mentioned the extra work. Now it is the wall everyone leans on.”
